Design for Interactive Media is an exploration of new and emerging media and encompasses a diverse range of interactions and wide range of new and existing audiences. It is an exploration of the forms and functions of the digital domain as it mediates human-human and human-machine interactions. Until relatively recently this largely meant interactions mediated through screen based devices (the WWW, for example). Now we explore an ever-increasing raft of media, from mobile phone screens through wearables to augmented reality.
We are very proud to be able to present at this event our 2004 cohort of BA Design for Interactive Media graduates.
This course aims to educate students in, and enable them to apply, current key theories and practices of design for interactive media.
A central tenet of the course is the production of graduates prepared for professional practice whilst being able to adapt to future technological developments as they impact on their profession.
Student work includes:
digital prints
posters
concepts of future interactive devices
websites
game design
interactive narrative
DVD designs
interaction design
interactive learning materials
digital animation
Work is presented on a series of workstations and in scheduled screenings.
